Alina Andraca was born in San Diego, California, and moved to Jackson, Wyoming, at the age of five. Her family, including her parents and four sisters, relocated to Jackson from Guerrero, Mexico, in the early ‘90s. Growing up in Jackson as a Mexican-American, Alina has seen and experienced the cultural changes within this small community firsthand. In joining the WIAP team, Alina was excited to become part of an organization providing services that have been needed for so long in Wyoming.
After graduating from Jackson Hole High School, Alina relocated to Santa Cruz, California, on a soccer scholarship. She now has a business management degree and operates her own business, MOTIVO, offering bilingual consultant services to small business owners in Jackson. Prior to joining WIAP, Alina spent nine years working for One22 Resource Center. She began as a certified medical interpreter and later became a medical financial navigator, helping to connect community members with resources to alleviate medical debt and file insurance claims. She also served as a financial empowerment manager, co-facilitating One22’s Spanish-language financial literacy program to educate participants about money management within the United States, and most recently as an office manager.
Throughout her career, Alina has built relationships with community members of all different backgrounds, and she brings with her a passion for supporting the immigrant workforce that makes Jackson thrive. In her free time, Alina enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and toy poodle. She also loves traveling and exploring new places and cultures.
WIAP promotes and defends the rights of all immigrants through free and low-cost legal services, public education, and systemic advocacy.
