Immigration Updates

Immigration policy is changing fast. We do our best to keep Wyoming’s immigrant community informed about the changes we think could affect them. But a lot is happening across the country, and it’s happening quickly. This list may not cover everything. Please feel free to reach out to us if you have questions.

Big changes to public charge rules went into effect on September 18, 2026. Here's what changed.
If you’re trying to find a loved one in ICE custody and they don’t show up on the online detainee locator, a recent change may be hiding them in the online system.
If you applied for asylum with USCIS, or you're planning to, a new rule that went into effect in July 2026 could change how your case is handled.
If Alexandra Lozano or her firm (also called Luz Legal) handled your immigration case, your case may be affected.
Traveling outside of the U.S. with advance parole may not be safe for anyone who has been in the U.S. for more than six months without legal status.
Survivors of domestic violence, trafficking, and other serious crimes who are waiting on certain immigration cases have some of their protection from immigration enforcement back (for now).
