Noah Novogrodsky is a law professor at the University of Wyoming College of Law and the Director of the Center for International Human Rights Law & Advocacy (CIHRLA). Professor Novogrodsky graduated from Swarthmore College with highest honors in 1992. He received an M.Phil in International Relations from the University of Cambridge in 1994. After graduating from law school at Yale in 1997, Professor Novogrodsky clerked for Judge Nancy Gertner of the U.S. District Court in Massachusetts and held a Robert Bernstein Fellowship in 1998-99 to investigate and document human rights abuses occurring during the Eritrea/Ethiopia war. Professor Novogrodsky then worked as an associate at Howard, Rice, Nemerovski, Canady, Falk & Rabkin (now Arnold & Porter LLP) in San Francisco. From September 2002 until May 2008, Professor Novogrodsky was the Founding Director of the International Human Rights Clinic at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law. Professor Novogrodsky has been a visiting scholar at Georgetown University Law Center, the University of Connecticut School of Law and the Human Rights Center of the UC Berkeley School of Law.  Professor Novogrodsky’s scholarship addresses immigration law, international human rights, criminal law and public health concerns and he serves as an expert witness in immigration cases from the Horn of Africa. As the Director of CIHRLA, Professor Novogrodsky has led law students in asylum and refugee cases, DACA facilitation, and the provision of legal advice related to travel ban and adjustment of status cases.  In 2018, CIHRLA published an analysis of the contributions of immigrants to the Teton County economy.
